Having stated this, I am fully aware that Australia has had 4 celebrity deaths in recent weeks:1) Don Chip
2) Colin Thiele
3) Steve Irwin
and now...
4) Peter Brock
Now, as far as I can predict, my feelings about celebrities going in threes is about to be shot down, or we are due for another two famous deaths within the next week or so. These will not necessarily need to be Australian to qualify.
We will have to wait and see.

Yeah, but of them (a politician, a writer, a celebrity, and a sportsman)only two got offered a state funeral. Says a lot about the times we live in when sports and celebrity are so highly valued.

I'm glad Irwin's family turned down the state funeral. Good on 'em.
